Motor Oil

Oil and Oil filters are hazardous waste and should be recycled or disposed of properly.

Recycle

To recycle, place your oil in a sealed container. Do not mix oil with antifreeze, solvents or any other fluids. Oil mixed with any other substance is contaminated and must be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Various collection centers have the capacity to accept between 20 and 55 gallons of oil per person per day so call before transporting more than 20 gallons to any one of these sites. Free used oil collection containers are available for do-it-yourself oil changers throughout Humboldt County. Call 268-2225 for more info. Recycle Motor Oil at these locations:
